Hello, and thanks for visiting my site! I’m an experienced writer, editor and photographer based in Franklin, Tennessee and New York, NY. I studied journalism and biology at the University of Southern California and San Diego State University, then went to graduate school at Columbia University where I studied fiction and nonfiction writing.
I worked for many years in New York City - sometimes as “Jennifer Horton” - writing magazine articles, taking pictures, planning events and working with public relations agencies. I also worked as a production consultant on screenplays for Miramax Films, as the managing editor of “Giftware Business” magazine, and as a content producer for Red Sky Interactive.
Clients have included:
Conde Nast publications: The New Yorker, Glamour, Self, Vanity Fair, Jane, Mademoiselle, Allure, GQ
Hearst Publications: ELLE, Country Living, Men’s Health, Seventeen, Redbook, Esquire
The New York Times and many local newspapers
Miramax Films, Columbia University, Brookfield Properties, Red Sky Interactive, Mattel, Inc., Altoids, Marvel, Slim Jim.
I slowed my work down while raising a family and did stints as a school drama teacher, nonstop volunteer and a writer for local town newspapers and magazines. My husband, Brian Bennhoff, owns a film production company, Crooked River Productions, and I often help him with talent management and coordination during film shoots.
Thanks for taking a look!
